Tonight's song, "When You're Brave", is Mike on guitars, vocals, bass and "drums" (programmed as usual). It's got a slightly more radio-friendly feel, than most things we've posted so far, but potentially too wacko. Not sure yet. Enjoy it nonetheless. Mike also really likes the lyrics, so here they are:
so we carved it in trees
with arrowheads we found
with fossils from way back
in the day
from a deep freeze (down, down, down, down)
buried underground
(and no one remembers that)
but then everything melted away
when you're brave
you laugh at stuff you think's not funny
when you're brave...
when ships were in pain
i'd sink 'em in storm drains (down, down, down down)
now my joints ache when it rains
(doo-do-duh-doo)
and for your escape i forgot
which knot to loosen
cuz it hid out in sewers to prove us wrong
cuz when you're brave
you only hear what you want to
when you're brave...
love is an afterthought, right?
and it's never enough, tonight.
so you're never afraid of
the stars or some stuff that's miles away from here
when you're brave...
you never cry at all ever, right?
and it's all way way way too much, tonight.
and you're never afraid
of imaginary stuff
cuz it seems like you're dreaming
